    Front side : From Eiji Hamanaka, a Tsuchiura Naval Air Corps trainee, to his younger brother Yuji at home.
    *Translation of the letter part
    "How are you doing Yuji? It must be hard to go to school from Iwai station in the morning. Please be well and work hard. Now enemies must be trying hard to attack the Empire of Japan. Please take care of yourself. Is Gotetsu (a neighbor restaurant?) still busy? Is it running better now? Are cats and chickens at home not fighting? They both must be adorable for you. See you again. Please take care as it is getting very cold."
