    Traditional African mud cloth sheets are made one at a time, they are individually hand spun, hand woven, and hand painted. To make a mud cloth is a very time consuming process sometimes taking mud cloth a week to finish. The cloths are made of 100% cotton Each cloth is unique and a work of art. To make the cloth the cotton thread is woven on a hand held loom which can make a strip of cloth 5" to 6" wide. The strips of cloth are then sewn together and painted. The different dyes used on the cloths are made from organic materials. The mud cloths being sold are made in Mali. The best way to wash the cloth is to wash it by hand let it air dry.
