    Description

    This is a lovely hand crafted piece of Vintage Authentic African Kuba Cloth. Measures 6’x28”. Made of woven raffia fibers, softened, and colored using vegetable dyes. This piece has colors of brown, yellow, clay red and purple. Beautiful cut pile cloth which resembles velvet was used to make the Pom poms that edge both side of the fabric piece. Hand woven there are irregularities in piecing of designs. I have tried to capture close up images of tears in the fabric. This piece is in good condition, meaning there are tears and missing Pom Pom on edge. See photos.
    This piece of Kuba fabric would make a lovely table runner or wall hanging in your home. Very rare with the poms.
    If you clean this fabric - use cool water in basin with very mild detergent. Do not scrub. Pat dry and hang to final dry or lay flat to dry.
