Lt. Col. Henderson was Provost Marshal in Tokyo During General Tojo's War Crimes Trial
Great set of historical papers from Lt. Col. Alpheus L. Henderson. You will get everything you see, the official "Orders for Special Post #34", handwritten letter concerning Gen. Tojo's winter suit, stationary, newspaper clippings and War Department envelope.
I will be listing several items that belonged to this veteran.
This came from the estate sale of Brig. Gen.  Alpheus L. Henderson's, daughter. Her husband was a local doctor here in town. Brig. Gen.  Alpheus L. Henderson was a Private in WWI, Provost Marshal in Tokyo during Gen. Tojo's war trial and retired as a Brig. Gen.
Will be listing several unique items that belonged to him.

Lt. Col. Henderson, Provost Marshall   Oct. 3, 1945, 10 a.m.
The Yokohama Liaison Office was told by the Provost Marshal to send winter suits for General Tojo this morning.
As his family members are not in Tokyo, his friend, not acquainted with things at General Tojos', couldn't finish the preparations in time(by the morning), and so it is regretted that this office cannot send the suit this morning in accordance with its direction by Provost Marshall
